Hard Reset Apple TV from 1st to 5th gen.

If you need to reset your Apple TV — you need to know:

  • All your personal information will be erased;
  • The account will be logged out;
  • The settings will be restored to factory default;
  • All apps will be deleted.

  1. Go to Settings > System > Reset.
  2. Choose a reset option:
    • RESET (return your TV to factory settings)
    • RESET AND UPDATE (returns your TV to factory settings and installs software updates if needed. This option needs an Internet connection.)
  3. Don’t turn it off until it’s finished

How to reset apple tv with a computer by using iTunes

Apple TV can be reset by connecting it to your PC or Notebook and using iTunes to factory reset it.

  • You need to have a micro USB for the 1st-3th gen and USB-C cable for the latest version (HD or 4K)
  • Connect the TV to the Computer
  • Open iTunes
  • After recognizing the TV select Restore Apple TV
  • Then press Restore And Update and wait
  • Eject the Apple TV from your computer

RETAIL MODE> SETTINGS> GENERAL> LEGAL NOTICES> RIGHT> RIGHT> LEFT> CENTER
