If you forgot Oculus pattern, you can remove it using the Oculus mobile app and your PIN.

How to reset Oculus pattern?

To remove your unlock pattern using the Oculus mobile app:

  1. Open the Oculus app and press Devices.
  2. Select your headset then swipe down to Headset Settings.
  3. Press Unlock Pattern then tap Remove Unlock Pattern.
  4. Enter your PIN and press Submit. (If you forgot your pin cod please read this instruction on how to reset it)

If you’re unable to remove your unlock pattern using the Oculus mobile app, you can reset it by doing the factory reset procedure.

To change your unlock pattern, you will need to know what your unlock pattern is.

To change your unlock pattern from the Oculus mobile app:

  • Open the Oculus app and press Devices.
  • Select your headset then swipe down to Headset Settings.
  • Tap Unlock Pattern then tap Reset Unlock Pattern.
  • Draw your current unlock pattern, then tap Verify.
  • Draw the unlock pattern you want to use, then tap Create.
  • Draw the same pattern, then tap Confirm.

To reset or change your unlock pattern by using your Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest device:

  • Press on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
  • Hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.
  • Select  Settings in the top right corner.
  • Select Security from the left menu, then select Reset next to Unlock pattern.
  • Draw your current unlock pattern.
  • Draw the unlock pattern you want to use, then select Continue.
  • Draw the same pattern, then select Confirm.

    Remove or reset unlock pattern do not show up. Would rather not reset Quest. Are there other options? Why would the app not give me to option to Remove or Reset?

    How are we supposed to reset the pattern if we forgot what the pattern was to begin with. It days to enter the pattern but that’s the whole reason I need to reset it, I forgot what the original pattern was. Makes zero sense. Can’t reset the pattern. Refuse to reset the headset. Fix the issue.
