Hard Master Reset

How to do a hard reset at NanoStation m2?

If you have a problem with Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 or PicoStation m2, bullet, rocket, loco m2 or another model on this segment there are 2 ways to do a hard reset to factory settings.

The first way to reset Nanostation m2:

  • Connect your M2 to pc or notebook
  • Open your browser and put Nanostation m2 default IP: 192.168.1.20 or another one you set before.
  • Enter login and pass (by default ubnt)
  • Choose “SYSTEM” at the menu
  • Press “Reset to Default“.
  • Then just wait.

The second way

  1. We recommend doing it when you forgot your password or can’t connect to Nanostation via WEB.
  2. To do it please connect it to pc or notebook and turn it on.
  3. Then you will need to press “Reset” near the main LAN port and wait 8-15 seconds.
  4. When done you will see all indications lamps will blink a few times.

Sometimes after resetting user can’t connect to Nanostation m2 and if you are one of them so maybe this information will help you:

  1. check cable connector (anyway)
  2. Set the LAN IP (ipv4) to 192.168.1.21
    subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    default gateway 192.168.1.20 (where to do it? > connection setting > TCP/IPv4 )

    Heb harde reset op NanoStartionM2 gemaakt en werkt goed. Ik denk echter dat de gebruiksnaam en wachtwoord niet gereset worden en daar was het mij om te doen. Hoe kan ik die resetten?
