A Hard Reset will return your TCL TV to its original (factory) mode. Factory reset will remove all stored personal data relating to your settings, network connections, Roku data, and menu preferences, pin lock, parent control code.
Once completed, you must repeat the guided setup, reconnect to the Internet, re-linking your Roku account, and reload streaming channels.
If applicable, you must also repeat the antenna TV setup (channel scan) and input configuration.
Before doing a reset TCL tv try to restart the TCL Roku tv. Just take out the cable from the socket and turn it back after a few seconds.
Important info about Roku TV
If some of the streaming channels on your TCL Roku TV unexpectedly disappeared, please perform a software update.
Before you will start the reset function first try System Update. Maybe it will solve your problems.

- Go to Settings> System> System Update
- Select Check now for a software update on your TCL TV
How to reset TCL Roku tv by using the remote control:
- Press Home on your remote to open the main screen.
- Scroll down and select Settings
- Select System
- Press Advanced system settings (Device Preference )
- Find and press the Factory reset
- Go to Factory Reset
- To proceed with the full factory reset, enter the code listed on the screen (you will see this code when doing all these steps) and select OK. A different code is generated every time you reset the TV.
- The default pin code on TCL Tv is — 1234

If you can’t reset TCL tv with the menu you can try to do it with this combination code to access the reset menu.
- MENU + CONTRAST + 9735
- MENU + CONTRAST + 1950
- HOME + SETTING + SYSTEM + ABOUT
If you forgot your own pin code you need to enter master reset or super pin code 0423 or 0812
I hope you will resolve your problems with 1st way or else try another one. This method will possible that your TV might get into a state where you cannot access the various menus, including the menu option that lets you perform a factory reset operation. Sometimes it happens and the TCL engineer creates 2nd way to hard reset your TV:
2nd way to do a factory reset TCL Smart TV
- Using a straightened paper clip or ball-point pen, press and hold the recessed RESET button on the TV connector panel.
- Continue to hold the RESET button for approximately 12 seconds. When the reset cycle completes, the status indicator comes on dim.
- Release the RESET button. The TV is now powered off.
- Turn on the TV and proceed through Guided Setup.
TCL tv factory reset without remote
If your remote control is broken or you lost it you can reset your TCL tv without it. Someone download the Universal remote App from Apple Store or Google Play and use it as a usual remote control. Of course, it will work only with Smart tv with wi-fi.

I did all to reset the tv it’s tlc roku and does not turn on, the cable box is on
try to cable off and on again
I’ve done all resets and it says software update and says checking and nothing happens. Tv is just 1 1/2 years old
wi-fi connected?
Hard reset steps (using button) did not work. Seems like the light is burnt out. Can hear menus. Tv is barely two years old. Disappointed.
