To solve some soft problems with your TV, we recommend doing:
- Restart your TV
- Reset the factory settings
- Call/Visit the service center
To restart your Hisense TV you need:
- Turn OFF your TV
- Take out the power cable from the outlet for 30 seconds
- Turn ON
- If the problems are not solved try to do a factory reset.
The factory reset procedure will delete all your personal information: channel, video settings, wifi connections, all apps, etc.
After resetting you will need to do the initial settings after purchasing a new one.
Note: you should understand Hisense has a lot of models and series. And this instruction may not work on your TV. But you can try to find it in the menu of your TV Factory reset.

- This instruction will work for 2013 and older models.
- Press the EXIT key on your remote control and hold it for 15 seconds
- Hisense TV factory service menu will appear
- Click OK and turn off the TV
- After resetting your Smart TV, it is advisable to wait for 20 seconds before turning it on.

- Turn ON > Find Settings > About TV > Restore to factory default

In the last steps, you will be asked to enter the pin code or parent control password.
The default pin code for Hisense TV is 0000. If you change it early please enter your own.

I recently received via email a firmware update for my Hisense U8H 55″ tv. It took several minutes but the usb drive method worked as told it would. Only problem is now I no longer have access to the Service Menu! I just get a red screen. The TV still works, but I was guaranteed by Hisense rep that installing the update would not change my TV operation at all. I have not made any alterations to the set via the service menu, but it gives me information like how long the set has been operating, etc. etc. What can be done to once again enable this menu? If nothing, is there a way to “undo” the firmware update?
