Before you purchase a new Samsung cell phone or even a new tablet-phone, you have to know how to reset it. First, you have to charge the battery, backup important data, and then take the SIM and SD cards out of the device.
Use one of these methods to hard reset the Samsung T249 phone:
- On the keypad, enter the code *2767*3855#.
or
- From the main screen, select Menu.
- Scroll to and select Settings.
- Scroll to and select Reset Settings.
- Scroll to and select Master Reset.
- Select one of the following options:
- Clear user data
- Restore settings
- Restore and clear
- Enter six zeros (000000).
- Select OK.
Remember: All the data such as contacts, messages, etc. will be lost! This means that you have to copy all the Contacts/Data/Messages etc. to the SIM or SD card, or make a backup to the PC before a full reset! Make sure you take out the SIM and SD cards prior to a reset.
This will make it possible to recover all your data after the hard reset, thus it is important. For your data, you should put a backup on an external device such as a hard drive, media, or raid system. Whether you have experience or not, if the cell phone is lost, stolen, or damaged, you will have at least the valuable data backed up in a safe place.
