This is my first reader, I can’t compare it to anything else. I switched to it from classic books and smartphones. There is no problem with the device, all is well done, only pleasant impressions.
Handy, easy-to-use, enough features and functions; sensations from reading similar to the sensations from paper books; eyes are not overworked (I read 1 — 1. 5 years/day); the readability of the linters is very good (I set the size to 4 positions); the backlight is often in use; the battery charge is used up, as for my needs.
Before buying it I read the common problems that can happen to it within a few months/years. The most happen problems are unresponsive — frozen screen, won’t turn on/off, wi-fi problems. To solve these problems you will need to reset your device. There are 2 ways to do it.

Reset kindle paperwhite
To do a hard restart on a Paperwhite that is frozen and unresponsible, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the bottom edge of the device.
The device will shut down and restart.
The time you have to hold it may vary, but it normally takes about 20 seconds and more before the device responds and start restarting.
Sometimes frozen happens on a weak wi-fi connection. To solve this cause you just need to restart your router or read near routers.
