How to reset Sanyo Tv

Sanyo Tv is a budget Tv with a good quality picture. If you have Sanyo tv troubleshooting don’t panic because of the same problems people have with other popular and most expensive brands of TV.

But first, before visiting, the TV repair service try to reset your TV to default factory settings. This procedure can help you to solve some popular problems with Tv like no sounds, set colors, can’t connect wifi, App not working correctly, HDMI or USB not working, and screen problems.

Hard Reset Sanyo Tv to factory settings

  • Press Home
  • Then press Setup
  • Select Restore Default Settings
  • Press OK.
  • Then choose Reset AV settings or Reset all settings, then press OK.
    • Reset AV settings — will return picture and sound settings to their default values. The channel installation settings are not affected.
    • Reset all settings — will return all the settings to their default values.

Reset network settings

Press Home>Setup>Network setting and select Reset network settings, then press OK

How to reset pin code on Sanyo TV

The default PIN code is 0000.

If you have forgotten your PIN code, enter 0711 to reset the PIN code to default 0000.

Also, you can set your own PIN code. This pin code will need only if you set up Child Lock or Parents control functions and on some brands when resetting to factory settings.

  • Use the Up Down Navigation Keys to select Change PIN
  • Press OK.
  • Press the NUMBER button to enter the current 4-digit PIN code.
  • Press the NUMBER button to enter the new 4-digit PIN code.
  • Enter the PIN code again to confirm.
  • Make sure the new PIN code is and confirm the PIN code must be exactly the same. If they are different, space is cleared for reentering.

How to reset Sanyo tv

This information was found on this forum but dates there 2007 so I don’t know if this helps you to reset the new Tv but with the old ones work fine.

  1. Unplug the power cable.
  2. Press and hold the {MUTE} button on the remote control while plugging the power cable back into the outlet.
  3. Keep pressing the {MUTE} button until the TV powers on with the Service Menu displayed.
  4. Use the {CH+} {CH-} buttons to select menus.
  5. Use the {VOL+} {VOL -} buttons to change settings.
  6. Some menus might have sub-addresses. Use the numeric buttons {0} to {7} to adjust sub-item data.
  7. Press the {MENU} button or turn the TV off to exit.

Method 2

  1. Unplug the power cable.

How to reset tv without remote

You can try to download apps from the Google Play Store or Apple store Remote Control or something like this and try to connect to your TV. Your Smartphone needs to have IR blaster. This app can be used as a usual remote control. Also, you can try to reset your tv by using the buttons on your TV. Use Power, Sound, and CH- CH+ buttons.

There is no reset button on a Sanyo tv.

    1. what is the Sanyo remote control model number for this TV?
    i got an RCA universal remote. I am able to program it but I do not know what to press to get a FACTORY RESET

    Factory reset is not available through the TV menu options

    My TV Display colors are now too red. Through Menu, I can control the level of redness, but not the level of blue or green. Controlling redness alone does not do it

      the previous commentor had good suggestions. The only problem is You cant follow her instructions, if you cannot see them!!! As the tv screen is black. Mine isnt connected to a cable box, but Ill try unplugging tv first then factory reset I can do with just my remote. Ill let you know what happens.

      Some of the older models and even some newer one’s, the factory reset etc, is in the lock settings. If you have gotten a tv off of someone else, and they have a pin (in most cases you need one anyone) I suggest you ask them for it or know of it, otherwise you will have to google up the codes or follow these prompts.     I love these technical post where what they tell you to do something that doesn’t exist on my TV/Computer etc! NO WHERE DOES MY TV have the “Reset network settings” option!

      You need to understand that Sanyo Tv has a lot of models/series so there a no universal instruction to reset all of them in the same way. You can find instruction to reset in your box from the TV (usually paper book)
