I find a few ways to reset the LG TV pin code. It is simply that you think. If one method does not work for your TV just try to repeat it quickly or the other method.

1st way to reset the pin on your LG smart TV.

This instruction works for WebOS 2.O and Web OS 3.0 and above operating systems.

  • Press Settings on the remote control.
  • Navigate to Advanced or All Settings
  • Scroll down to Safety and press OK.
  • Under safety, highlight Reset Password/Reset PIN Code (but do not press Enter)
  • Press Channel UP + UP + DOWN + UP (Up twice, Down once and Up once)
  • When Master Password Dialogue appears, enter Unlock code 0313 or 0325
  • The safety dialogue will now open where you should enter 0000
  • The change password prompts will come up where you will change the password.

2nd Way how to LG tv pin code reset

  • Select Setting on the remote control
  • Then find LOCK
  • Press Lock Menu and there should be pop-up windows with 4 digit
  • Then press the MUTE button 3 times
  • Should be pop-up with 6 digits Enter an Lg master reset code “129472”
  • Set a new password in the new pop-up window.

3rd way — Reset LG TV to factory settings by using the smartphone.

3. This is an unusual method to reset your pin, parent control pass, or reset all your Tv to factory settings.

You need to install the app on your smartphone. As I am using Android so I download AnyMote Universal Remote app on the Google Play market.

Your Phones need to be with an IR blaster else will not work.

  • Open the App
  • Find “Instop“
  • Enter one of this pass: 0413, 0000, 7777, 8878, 8743, 8741
  • The tv should Turn Off
  • Just turn it On by remote control

    Thanks for this! Method 2. Bullet point 4 is the key: use up / down on the remote to navigate to “Reset pw” but do not press it. This vital step is absolutely NOT clear (not even mentioned) in LG’s documentation. They explain the upupdownup sequence, but if “Reset PW” is not highlighted as explained above when doing this, then the Master PW window will never pop up. At least not on mine. Great job, LG…not.
