- Turn On your TV
- Press Home button
- Find the Settings icon and press OK (enter)
- Find and Select Storage & Reset and press the OK button.
- Select Restore Factory Settings and press the OK button
- Select Erase All Data
- Confirm the reset process
- Will ask pin code if you have set up it early. If you forgot it, so first you need to change the pin code. (read next paragraph)
- TV will proceed into the Initial Setup wizard.

If you need to reset your Sony PIN, you will have to use a Master PIN to gain access to the Parental lock settings. Follow these steps:
- Press the HOME button
- Go to Settings
- In the Personal section select Parental Lock (Broadcast)
- Enter the Master PIN for Sony TV (9999)
- Select Change PIN Code
- Change it to your own one.

If you can’t Turn On your Sony Tv then you can do a
- You need to know how many buttons your tv has.
- Only Power button
- Three buttons on the TV (Power, Vol down, Vol Up)
Here is instruction if your Tv has only one button (Power):
- Unplug the TV from the socket.
- Press and hold the Power button on the TV (not on the remote), and then (while holding the button down) plug the AC power cord back in.
- Continue to hold the button down until the white LED light appears. It will take approximately 10-30 seconds for the LED light to turn white.
- Release the button after the white LED light appears. If the LED light doesn’t turn white within 30 seconds, start from Step 1 again.
- Wait a few minutes for the forced Factory reset process to take place. The Sony smart tv will restart (turn on and off) twice. If the TV doesn’t turn back ON automatically, press the Power button to turn the TV back ON.
- When the Welcome setup screen appears, perform the setup. If the Welcome setup screen doesn’t appear, unplug the AC power cord and then plug it back in.
If the forced Factory data reset didn’t resolve the issue, repeat the procedure again starting from Step 1.
If your TV has 3 buttons (Vol Up — Power — Vol Down)
- Unplug the TV’s AC from the socket.
- Simultaneously press and hold down the Power and Volume Down buttons on the TV (not on the remote), and then (while holding the buttons down) plug the AC power cord back in. Continue to hold the buttons down until Erasing screen appears.
It will take approximately 10-30 seconds for the appearing Erasing screen. - Release the buttons after Erasing screen appears.
If Erasing screen doesn’t appear within 60 seconds, start from Step 1 again. - Wait a few minutes for the Factory data reset process to take place. The TV will reboot (turn on and off).
If the TV doesn’t turn back ON automatically, press the Power button to turn the TV back ON. - When the Welcome setup screen appears, perform the setup.
If the Welcome setup screen doesn’t appear, unplug the AC power cord and then plug it back in. - If the forced Factory data reset didn’t resolve the issue, repeat the procedure again starting from Step 1.

- For models released in 2019 or earlier: The Welcome setup screen will appear on the TV twice. Do NOT set up the first Welcome setup screen. The TV will auto Factory data reset within one minute of the first Welcome setup screen.
- If the TV doesn’t turn back ON automatically, press the Power button to turn the TV back ON.
- When the Welcome setup screen appears, perform the setup.
- For models released in 2019 or earlier: Perform the setup when the second Welcome setup screen appears.
- If the Welcome setup screen doesn’t appear, unplug the AC power cord and then plug it back in.

1. unplug power plug AC
2. press&hold volume down and power button together (on your TV not remote)
3. plug power AC
4. keep holding until you will see green indicator light
5. release buttons and wait
6. done you should see soon (about 1minute) setup menu
