Hard Reset LG VS930 4G

You have two options to reset your LG VS930 4G Series smart phone: via the phone buttons or via the Settings menu.

Caution: If you complete a hard reset, all your applications and user data will be deleted. Please remember to back up any important data before performing a reset.

How to perform a hard reset LG VS930 4G if you have forgotten your passcode: reset password

  1. Turn the power off.
  2. Press and hold the following keys at the same time: Power and Volume Down.
  3. Release the keys when the FACTORY HARD RESET screen is displayed.
  4. Press the Power key to continue or the Volume Key to cancel.
  5. Press the Power key once more to confirm or the Volume keys to cancel.

Performing a hard reset deletes all of your user data, pictures, videos, and music saved to your internal memory. Please make sure to back up your information prior to performing a hard reset.

To reset your LG Nexus 4 – E960 to factory settings, please follow these steps:

Note: By performing a factory data reset, all data will be wiped from the device. While any data stored in your Google Account will be restored, all apps and their associated data will be uninstalled.

  1. Go to Settings > Backup & Reset.
  2. Touch Factory data reset.
  3. Touch Reset phone.
  4. If your phone is password protected, you will be prompted to enter your Pattern, PIN, or Password.
  5. Touch Erase Everything to confirm.

Alternatively, follow these steps:

  1. If your phone is on, power it off.
  2. Press and hold Power until the device powers on, then immediately press and hold Volume Down (while still pressing Power). You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.
  3. Press Volume Down twice to designate Recovery mode.
  4. Press Power to restart in Recovery mode. You will see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation (!) mark.
  5. While holding down Power, press Volume Up.
  6. Use the Volume keys to scroll to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and press Power to select it.
  7. Scroll down to Yes – Erase All User Data and press Power to select it.

Note: If at any point during the above steps your phone becomes unresponsive, you can restart it by holding down the Power button for several seconds.


How to Hard Reset LG OPTIMUS

If you own an LG Optimus hand set, it is important for you to know the procedures on how to reset it. There are two types of Hard reset that can be done on this device. The first is the software reset and the second is the hardware reset functions. The software reset is done when the phone is not working well. All your data and your device settings are safe because they are not lost in the process. Hardware reset (hard reset) refers to a type of reset that is done when one wants to clear all the data and settings in the device and wants to return the device settings to the factory default settings.

This type of reset (hard reset) is only done as the last resort after all the troubleshooting procedures have been exhausted. The handset should also be turned off and in case it is frozen, the battery should be removed and reinserted. You must be one hundred percent sure that you want to do a hard reset on your devices. This is because, all the personal data such as SMSs, call records, all contacts, internet settings as well as all the media files(photos, videos, documents among others) will be deleted when the reset is performed.

Below are the prerequisites that should be done prior to the reset exercise;

How to do hard reset LG Optimus?

  • Press and hold the power button of your LG Optimus until it is off.
  • Push & hold both the Home and the Down button at the same time (the location of the Home button is at the front of the device immediately below the LG display and the Down button is on the right side of the LG device).
  • The next step is to press and to keep holding the power button for a period of 10 seconds at the same time holding the Home and the down volume buttons i.e. (Power key+ Home key+ Down volume key)
  • After pressing and holding all three buttons at the same time for ten seconds, the buttons are then released when the device turns on. Following the above steps will successfully enable you to hard reset the LG Optimus.

It is important to note that, if the original condition of the device is not restored, the hard reset should be used to initialize the phone. Precaution should be taken when the Unlock pattern is being used. It is advisable that you memorize the pattern well because you are only allowed five attempts to enter it. If all five attempts have been used, you then have to wait for at least 30 seconds before attempting to unlock it again.
